What do you learn from a barcode lookup?

Is cosmetic barcode lookup free?
Yes. Scanning the barcode, ingredient analysis and the colour score are completely free. No app download or sign-up needed; it runs in your browser.
The product's barcode won't scan, what should I do?
Set good lighting and hold the barcode parallel to the camera. If it still fails, you can type the barcode number by hand or photograph the ingredients text; both run the same analysis.
How reliable are the results?
Every assessment is based on the EU's cosmetic ingredient sources and compiled irritation/allergy data, not an AI guess. You can report a result you think is wrong; the community also verifies product-barcode matches.
Are my photos or data stored?
The barcode and ingredients photo are processed on your device, not sent to or stored on a server. Only a product photo you deliberately share via 'Add a photo' is uploaded and shown on the product after review. We don't sell your data and we show no ads.
