What is it, what should you do?
The skincare form of vitamin C; it is a strong antioxidant, protects the skin against environmental stress (pollution, sun) and helps reduce uneven tone and dark spots over time. It also supports collagen production. The pure form (L-ascorbic acid) can degrade on contact with air and cause stinging on some skin; its derivatives (such as sodium ascorbyl phosphate) are a more stable and gentle alternative.
