Glycerin

Good

What is this ingredient, what does it do?

Humectant

What is it, what should you do?

A classic moisturizer (humectant) that mimics the skin's own moisture-attracting method, drawing water from the air and lower layers to the surface. It has been used for decades, suits almost every skin type, and allergy to it is very rare. It can be used generously on dry skin; in very dry environments, applying a cream that locks in moisture on top gives the best result.

Other names: Glycerine, Glycerol, Gliserin
