A group of substances obtained from natural mineral crystals that give makeup and cosmetic products shine and color. It is harmless to the skin itself and its main function is visual/aesthetic. The only point to note is the ethical/environmental debate around some mica sources during the mining process, but it poses no risk to skin health.
