Do not confuse sodium on a cosmetic label with dietary sodium

Sodium Hyaluronate is the salt form of hyaluronic acid used to hold moisture. None of these has anything to do with the sodium row on a nutrition label; the sodium compound in your shampoo does not enter your blood pressure arithmetic. The source of the confusion is chemical naming. Sodium is a widely used partner for making a molecule water-soluble and stable.
