Antiperspirant aluminum salt (SCCS deemed safe)
What is it, what should you do?
Aluminum salts that reduce sweating (the active ingredient of antiperspirants). Claims linking them to breast cancer were investigated and major bodies found no causal evidence; the proven real effect is that they temporarily block sweat ducts. If you are concerned you can use an aluminum-free deodorant; the difference is: deodorant reduces odor, antiperspirant reduces the sweat itself.
