Ingredient
Ascorbyl Palmitate
Good
What is this ingredient, what does it do?
Antioxidant vitamin derivative
What is it, what should you do?
A fat-soluble, more stable derivative of vitamin C; as an antioxidant it both protects the skin against free radicals and helps slow a product from spoiling. It is gentler and less irritating to the skin than pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid). Its brightening effect is milder than the pure form, but it is a good option for sensitive skin.
Other names: Sodium ascorbate, Tocopheryl linoleate
