What is this ingredient, what does it do?

Mild surfactant (rarely allergenic)

What is it, what should you do?

A cleanser (surfactant) derived from coconut oil, much gentler than sulfates. It creates foam in shampoos and facial cleansers and does not strip the skin's natural oil as much as sulfates. Although very rarely, it is known to be able to cause contact allergy in some people, but it is considered safe for the general population.

Other names: Cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine
