Anti-dandruff (banned in the EU)
What is it, what should you do?
A substance used for many years in shampoos and hair care products because it is effective against dandruff and scalp fungus. Because of risks that emerged in safety assessments (CMR classification), the EU banned its use in cosmetics from March 2022. Its presence on a label may be a sign of a formula that does not comply with current EU rules; when choosing a dandruff shampoo you can prefer products with an alternative active ingredient.
